Irritability is the ability of an organism to respond to a stimulus. Here are three examples:

1. Plant leaves folding: When you touch the leaves of a Mimosa pudica plant (also known as the sensitive plant), they quickly fold inwards. This is a response to the mechanical stimulus of touch.
2. Pupil constriction: In bright light, your pupils get smaller (constrict) to reduce the amount of light entering your eyes. This is a response to the stimulus of increased light intensity.
3. Withdrawal reflex: If you touch a hot object, your hand will immediately pull away. This is a rapid response to the stimulus of heat to prevent injury.
