Difference between alogami and autogamy

Alloogamy is cross-pollination, where pollen is transferred from one flower to the stigma of a flower on a different plant of the same species. This leads to genetic variation. Autogamy is self-pollination, where pollen is transferred from the anther to the stigma of the same flower or another flower on the same plant. This results in less genetic variation.
