My dog's eyes shine, a loving gaze,
He wags his tail through all my days.
He thinks I'm grand, a hero true,
In everything I say and do.

I fill his bowl with tasty food,
And scratch his ears, which he finds good.
We walk and play, a happy pair,
He knows my love is always there.

He thinks I'm smart, so very bright,
The best human, morning, noon, and night.
But little does he ever know,
I just hide treats beneath the sofa, low!
