Dear Diary,
Tomorrow's the debate against Zollie High. Boys, and white girls! I bet they think we're an easy win. They've never debated girls like us. We've prepared thoroughly and are ready to prove them wrong. We'll show them our strength.

October 24th, Evening

Dear Diary,
The debate is over. It was much tougher than I expected! Those Zollie students, even the white girls, had strong arguments. We fought hard. I'm proud of our team's effort. My initial judgment was definitely wrong. It was a valuable learning experience.
