The Story of the Clever Boy and the Ogre

Once upon a time, in a small village, lived a fearsome ogre who loved to eat children. Every full moon, the ogre would descend from the mountains and snatch a child. The villagers lived in constant fear. One day, a clever young boy named Juma decided he would put an end to the ogre's terror. He knew the ogre was very strong but also very foolish. Juma dug a deep pit near the ogre's path and covered it with branches and leaves. He then waited. When the ogre came down, Juma called out, "Oh, great ogre! I have heard you are the strongest creature in the land. Can you jump over this small ditch?" The ogre, flattered and eager to show off his strength, scoffed, "A small ditch? I can jump over mountains!" He took a mighty leap, but instead of clearing the "ditch," he fell straight into Juma's hidden pit. Juma quickly gathered large stones and rolled them into the pit, trapping the ogre forever. The village rejoiced, and Juma was hailed as a hero.
