My first day at school was a mix of excitement and a little bit of nervousness. I woke up extra early, put on my brand new uniform, and ate breakfast quickly. My mom walked me to the school gate, and I could see lots of other kids, some laughing and some looking just as shy as I felt. The school building looked so big, and I wondered what my classroom would be like and who my teacher would be.
When I finally found my classroom, Mrs. Dlamini, our teacher, greeted me with a warm smile. I picked a desk near the window and watched as more students arrived. We started the day by introducing ourselves, and I learned a few new names. We even played a fun game to help us remember each other. By the time lunch break came, I had already made a new friend, and we shared our sandwiches. My first day was much better than I expected, and I was already looking forward to coming back tomorrow.
