3. Micah, Prophet

Micah was an 8th-century BC prophet from Moresheth-Gath in Judah. He prophesied during the reigns of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, addressing both Judah and Israel. His message condemned social injustice, corruption among leaders, and false prophecy, while also foretelling the destruction of Samaria and Jerusalem. Micah is also known for prophesying the birth of the Messiah in Bethlehem.

4. Annunciation of the Birth of John

The annunciation of John the Baptist's birth occurred when the angel Gabriel appeared to Zechariah, a priest, while he was serving in the temple. Gabriel announced that Zechariah's barren wife, Elizabeth, would conceive a son, whom they were to name John. This son would be filled with the Holy Spirit from birth and would prepare the way for the Lord. Because Zechariah doubted, he was struck mute until John's birth.
