How to change decimal to normal numbers

The digits after the decimal point become the numerator. The denominator is a 1 followed by as many zeros as there are digits after the decimal point.
For example, 0.75 has two digits after the decimal point, so it becomes (75)/(100).

Find the greatest common divisor (GCD) of the numerator and the denominator and divide both by it.
For 0.75, the GCD of 75 and 100 is 25. So, (75)/(100) simplifies to (75 ÷ 25)/(100 ÷ 25) = (3)/(4).

If the decimal is a whole number (like 5.0), it's already a "normal number". If it has a decimal part that terminates (like 0.5), you convert it to a fraction and simplify. If it's a repeating decimal (like 0.333...), you use a different method involving algebra to convert it to a fraction.
