Effect of heating cell membrane

Heating a cell membrane causes its phospholipids to gain kinetic energy. This increased movement disrupts the bilayer structure, making the membrane more fluid. At higher temperatures, the membrane can become too fluid, leading to the denaturation of embedded proteins, which can cause the membrane to lose its function and eventually break apart.
