The gynoecium (pistil or carpel) is the female reproductive part of a flower. It is the innermost whorl and is responsible for the production of female gametes and development of seeds and fruits after fertilization.

Gynoecium (pistil or carpel) የአበባ ሴት የመራቢያ አካል ነው። ሶስት ዋና ዋና ክፍሎች አሉት፡ Stigma፣ Style እና Ovary። Stigma የአበባ ዱቄትን የሚቀበል ሲሆን፣ Style የአበባ ዱቄት ቱቦ የሚያልፍበት መንገድ ነው። Ovary ኦቭዩሎችን ይይዛል፤ ማዳበሪያ ከተደረገ በኋላ Ovary ወደ ፍሬነት ሲቀየር Ovule ደግሞ ወደ ዘርነት ይለወጣል።
