4.1 Practical Purpose and Value of the Assessment to the Workplace:

4.2 Task Description and Assessment Evidence:
Students are required to design an A3 or A4 folio advertisement based on a product from a previous assessment task. They must also compile a typed report explaining at least six copy elements used in their advertisement.

4.3 Instructions for the Task:

• 4.3.1 Subtask 1: A3/A4 folio advertisement
  • Design an advertisement for the new Sony Xperia 1.
  • The advertisement must be new and original and sized A3 or A4.
  • Students must use any six copy elements from the textbook.
  • The AIDA principle should not be used.
  • Visual images of the product and information from a case study can be incorporated.
• 4.3.2 Subtask 2: Report
  • Compile a report indicating the six copy elements used in the advertisement and provide reasons for their choice.
  • Name each copy element and give an example from the advertisement (e.g., Headline).
  • The report must include an introduction explaining its purpose and a conclusion.
  • The report must be typed.

4.4 Time and Mark Allocation:

• Drawing of Advertisement: 60 minutes, 30 marks.
• Compilation and typing of the report: 120 minutes, 20 marks.
• Total: 180 minutes, 50 marks.
