Example of metal and non metal

Here are examples of a metal and a nonmetal:

• Metal Example: Iron (Fe). Iron is a solid at room temperature, is shiny, can be hammered into shape, and conducts electricity well. It is found on the left side of the periodic table.
• Nonmetal Example: Sulfur (S). Sulfur is a solid at room temperature, is dull yellow, and is a poor conductor of heat and electricity. It is found on the right side of the periodic table.
