ACTIVITY 4: DATA GATHERING

• 4.1. Use questionnaires (ANNEXURE A) to record responses on floods.

  • Obtain FOUR copies of the questionnaire from your teacher (refer to ANNEXURE A, which is not provided here).
  • Request FOUR different Grade 11 learners from your school to complete these questionnaires as respondents.
  • Ensure each of the four learners answers all six (6) questions on the questionnaire.
  • Crucially, assure the respondents that their answers will remain anonymous.
  • Attach all FOUR completed questionnaires to your Research Project as evidence of data gathering.

• 4.2. After administration of questionnaires, interpret and summarise all the responses by the FOUR respondents.

  • Review the answers from all four completed questionnaires.
  • Identify common themes, differing opinions, and key insights from their responses regarding natural disasters like floods.
  • Write a summary that interprets and collates these findings, highlighting the main points from the respondents' perspectives.
  • You may also attach relevant photos, illustrations, or news articles about flood disasters as additional evidence to support your findings.
