Review and extend from Grade 6: "Why people live where they do."

This assignment is a research project on a settlement. Here's how to approach the first visible sections:

• Name of learner: Write your full name here.
• Research Topic: This is the main question or area you will investigate about your chosen settlement. Based on the hint "Review and extend from Grade 6: 'Why people live where they do'", your topic should focus on the reasons for the settlement's existence, growth, or specific characteristics. An example could be: "An investigation into the factors influencing the growth and development of [Settlement Name]."
• STEP 1 INTRODUCTION
  1. Settlement name: Choose a specific settlement you want to research. This could be your local town, a nearby city, or any settlement you find interesting. Write its name here.
  2. Location: Where and why is it situated where it is?: In the table provided, describe the geographical location of your chosen settlement (e.g., country, province, specific coordinates if relevant, nearby physical features like rivers or mountains). Then, explain the historical, economic, or environmental reasons why people chose to settle there. For example, proximity to water, fertile land, trade routes, mineral resources, or defensive positions.
