As part of our collective responsibility to strengthen the Association, improve membership administration, promote accountability, and ensure effective representation of students, the Membership and Recruitment Committee is pleased to announce the commencement of a FUSA Membership Verification Exercise. This exercise is intended to establish an accurate, updated, and reliable membership record of students who are eligible and registered members of FUSA. Purpose of the Verification Exercise The membership verification exercise is designed to: - Confirm the identity and eligibility of FUSA members. - Update and maintain an accurate membership database. - Determine the current strength of the Association's membership. - Identify active, inactive, newly admitted, and newly recruited members. - Eliminate duplicate, inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete membership records. - Facilitate the issuance and proper management of FUSA Membership ID Cards (if possible). - Improve communication between the Association and its members. - Strengthen coordination between the Membership and Recruitment Committee, Student Representatives (SRs), and the general membership. - Provide reliable membership information for planning and decision-making by the Association's leadership. Why This Exercise Is Important A strong students' association requires an accurate understanding of who its members are. Without reliable membership records, it becomes difficult to effectively communicate with students, plan programs, determine membership strength, provide services, or appropriately represent the interests of the student body. The verification process will therefore serve as an important administrative step toward building a more organized, accountable, transparent, and responsive FUSA. Key Benefits of the Exercise A. Better Coordination with Student Representatives The exercise will provide SRs with a more organized system for identifying and communicating with members within their respective areas of responsibility. I. Reduction of Duplicate or Invalid Records Verification will help identify duplicate registrations, incorrect information, and records that require updating or clarification. Information Members May Be Required to Provide Members participating in the exercise may be asked to provide relevant information such as: - Full name - University/College -Major - Member current status (Freshman , Sophomore, Junior or Senior) - Name of student representative, where necessary - Other information officially approved by FUSA for membership administration Noted: Members are encouraged to provide accurate and truthful information to ensure the integrity of the membership database. Role of FUSA Leadership and Representatives The success of this exercise requires the cooperation of the entire FUSA leadership structure. Accordingly, the Membership and Recruitment Committee calls upon: - FUSA executives; - Student Representatives (SRs); - Committee members; and - Other authorized FUSA officers to support the verification process by informing members, encouraging participation, directing members to the appropriate verification channels, and helping the Committee identify and resolve membership-record issues. Responsibilities of Members Every FUSA member is encouraged to take the exercise seriously and respectively respond to the given questions. Members should: Provide correct and complete information. Respond promptly to requests for verification. Report errors or discrepancies in their membership records. Follow the instructions provided by the Membership and Recruitment Committee and reply effectively. All members are kindly asked to keep their phones on (especially the number (s) used on the FUSAs membership form) at all times. Verification Period and Process The exercise will get started effectively September 21, 2026, and ends September 23, 2026; the Membership and Recruitment Committee will get this exercise conducted through phone calls, tex messages and etc. Members are strongly encouraged to complete the verification process within the stipulated period. This office will absolutely get deleted from the database any member who may not answer a phone call during these days days of the exercise per Commitment to Proper Membership Administration The Membership and Recruitment Committee recognizes that membership information must be handled responsibly. The Committee will therefore work with the FUSA leadership to ensure that information collected during the exercise is used strictly for legitimate Association-related purposes and membership administration.
