Role of an LNG QAQC tank Engr

The role of an LNG QAQC Tank Engineer is to ensure the quality and integrity of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) storage tanks throughout their lifecycle. This involves:

1. Quality Assurance (QA): Implementing and overseeing procedures to prevent defects and ensure compliance with standards during design, fabrication, construction, and operation. This includes reviewing design documents, material certifications, and welding procedures.
2. Quality Control (QC): Conducting inspections and tests to verify that the tank meets specifications and regulatory requirements. This can involve non-destructive testing (NDT) of welds, dimensional checks, pressure testing, and material verification.
3. Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining detailed records of all QA/QC activities, test results, and any non-conformances. Reporting findings to project management and relevant stakeholders.
