The men,all married were found to have a supply of alcohol and prostitutes in their rooms... Scenario 2. Each semester experienced male and female teachers come to Port Moresby to pursue their studies. The men are free to come and go as they please, the women are locked in their dormitories by 10pm.One weekend a group of female teachers decided to have an evening out. They made arrangements to stay in a hotel because they would not be back by 10pm.They enjoyed their dinner and were listening to music and dancing when they were approached by a group of men from the same course. The men were drunk and would not leave the women alone. The women fled to their rooms. The men banged on their door and use obscene language until they were chased away by the management. On Monday at Assembly the woman were ashamed in front of the whole college, accused of entertaining men, suspended from classes and told to write to their husband's.Nothing happened to men.

• Male Teachers' Values: The male teachers' behavior suggests a disregard for respect, boundaries, and appropriate conduct. Their actions imply a value of male privilege and a lack of accountability.

Conflict between Values and Behavior:

• The college management's behavior of punishing the women while taking no action against the men demonstrates a severe conflict with any implied values of fairness, equality, or protecting students from harassment. They punish the victims for being out, effectively blaming them for the men's misconduct.
• The male teachers' behavior of harassment and aggression directly conflicts with any expected values of professionalism, respect, or responsible conduct for educators.
• The women's desire for a normal social life conflicts with the college's restrictive and discriminatory rules, which are not applied equally to male students.
