iii. Lochia: Lochia is the vaginal discharge that occurs after childbirth, consisting of blood, mucus, and uterine tissue. It changes in color and consistency over several weeks, typically starting as bright red (lochia rubra), then becoming pinkish-brown (lochia serosa), and finally yellowish-white (lochia alba). It signifies the healing process of the uterus.
