3.1. The two main reasons why nutrition is important in beef cattle production are:
Firstly, good nutrition helps cattle grow big and strong quickly. Secondly, proper nutrition is essential for the cattle's overall health and reproduction. Well-fed cows are more likely to get pregnant, have healthy calves, and produce enough milk. It also makes their immune system stronger, helping them fight off diseases.

3.2. Here are three measures to prevent pasture degradation:

• Rotational grazing: This means moving the cattle between different sections of the pasture regularly. It gives the grass in each section time to rest and regrow before the cattle graze it again, preventing overgrazing.
• Maintain proper stocking rates: Farmers should not put too many cattle on one pasture. If there are too many animals, they will eat the grass down too short, which damages the roots and prevents it from growing back properly.
• Fertilization and weed control: Adding the right fertilizers helps the desirable grasses grow thicker and healthier. Also, controlling weeds stops them from competing with the good grass for nutrients and water, ensuring the pasture stays productive.
