• Illegal electricity connections contribute to the problem.
• The government needs a plan to resolve the issue.

Combining the key points into a coherent paragraph, as requested by the instructions:

South Africa is currently experiencing frequent and widespread electricity load shedding, which severely impacts all sectors including businesses, homes, and industries. This situation prevents households from buying large quantities of perishable food, as it spoils without constant refrigeration. Consequently, large businesses are forced to invest in expensive generators to ensure continuity, leading to a reduction in their income due to high fuel costs. Furthermore, workers, especially those in food-related industries, face job insecurity as businesses struggle to operate. The problem is compounded by individuals making illegal electricity connections, highlighting the urgent need for the government to devise a comprehensive plan to address this critical issue.
