Is the Solvay process applicable for the manufacture of K2CO3?

The Solvay process relies on the low solubility of sodium bicarbonate ($\text{NaHCO}_3$) which precipitates out of the solution. Potassium bicarbonate ($\text{KHCO}_3$), however, is highly soluble in water and would not precipitate under the conditions of the Solvay process. Therefore, it cannot be separated from the solution.
